Award-winning Standards: Year After Year

HCA International, the largest private hospital group in London, won the prestigious 2012 Laing & Buisson ‘Laing’s Healthcare 20’ award – the second major award for the group in four months.

Only last May the group consisting of six hospitals, including The Wellington Hospital, won the HealthInvestor award, ‘Private Hospital Group of the Year’.

Relight the Fire: A Gamemaker’s Experience

Over 70,000 people volunteered to get involved at the London Olympics this summer. Now dubbed the “Game Makers”, there is talk that the Government wish to reward Londoners who helped out with an Olympic Service Medal. Meera Pattni, from the Physiotherapy Department at The Wellington Hospital, took a week’s holiday from work to volunteer at the archery held at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Camper Van Challenge: The Wellington £1million Appeal

Keith Hague & Mike Hall take to the road

Everyone here at the Wellington has been working hard to raise money for this important work and our CEO, Mr Keith Hague has kick started the Autumn/Winter fundraising activities with a 3 week campervan trip around the UK coastline.

Keith is joined by his friend Mike Hall and Sheila the lemon yellow campervan who will be keeping them dry!

They started their journey in Exmouth and have already been down to Land’s End, through Bristol and after a little engine trouble with Sheila have now made it up to North Wales! Let’s see where they get to in Week 2.
