Patient Open Day: Fertility & IVF with Dr Gidon Lieberman

By: The Wellington Team | Published: February 17, 2012

The recent collaboration of the Lister Hospital’s prestigious IVF clinic and the popular Wellington Diagnostics and Outpatients Centre, brings first-class fertility care to the heart of the North West London community.

Approximately one in six couples have difficulty achieving a pregnancy. It has been found that female factors are responsible in 30% of cases, male factors account for a further 30%, combined male and female factors account for 20% and the remaining 20% of cases are unexplained.

Under normal circumstances, the chances of pregnancy occurring as a result of unprotected intercourse during the fertile time of the cycle are about 25% per month. After 12 months of trying, approximately 80% of couples will have conceived.

There are varity of fertility treatments available at The Lister Clinic, so if you are interested in fertility, or considering treatments why not come along our public open day.

The day starts at 11:30 am you can have a guided tour of the centre and Mr Gidon Lieberman, Consultant Gynaecologist and IVF specialist from the Lister Clinic will give a presentation to the public on considering fertility and how IVF works. Dr Lieberman will also hold a question and answer session after the presentation and you will also have the opportunity to have an informal chat with staff from the Lister Fertility Clinic, who will be happy to answer any of your queries.
