Introducing: GP Sessions

By: The Wellington Team | Published: July 26, 2011

When the Platinum Medical Centre opened in May, it created space to develop The Wellington Hospital’s services, as well as expand them. One of the new services to come out of this development is a dedicated GP service.

A number of highly exprienced Private GPs will now be available to see patients Monday – Saturday at the Platinum Medical Centre, Lodge Road. Patients benefit from a selection of GPs, quick appointments and a effecient referral service.

Dr Lisa Anderson is one of our Private GPs based at the Platinum Medical Centre. Next month we introduce her series of blogs – ‘GP Session’ which will discuss common and seasonal conditions, and what you can do to remedy them.

For the past 20years Dr Anderson has been a partner in a large NHS GP practice, and has developed relationships with many leading local Consultants. In addition to the all round knowledge required to be a GP, over the years her special interests have grown to include:

  • Women’s health
  • Paediatrics
  • Chronic disease management: asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and coronary heart disease
  • Mental health

Dr Anderson is a member of the Barnet Local Medical Committee and has been on several committees negotiating local healthcare funding issues.  She is also a past secretary of the Hampstead Medical Society.

Over the past 8 years she has developed a Private Practice, enabling her to devote the time needed to treat the patient as a whole. This includes: general medical consultations, full health screens, insurance work, and occupational health. She is used to dealing with high profile clients, particularly in the public eye.

Providing a professional, comprehensive medical service , Dr Lisa Anderson is available to see patients at the Platinum Medical Centre, Monday – Friday. Please contact the Enquiry Helpline on 020 7483 5148 to make an appointment.
